Isolation Transformers electrically separate connected equipment from the incoming supply to improve protection, reduce certain electrical disturbances and support sensitive applications.
Because there is no direct electrical connection between the input and output windings, the load is separated from supply-side disturbances and earth-referenced faults on the incoming system.
How It Works
Energy transfers between primary and secondary windings through the magnetic core rather than through a direct electrical connection.
Electrostatic shielding between windings, where specified, further reduces the transfer of high-frequency disturbances from the supply side to the connected equipment.
